Huntsville, also known as Rocket City, is mostly famous for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and the Redstone Arsenal military base. If you’re wondering what’s the best location to retire then here you have it: Huntsville has the most idealistic numbers when it comes to living costs, housing prices and physicians per capita. It is also a college town, the biggest university being the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Besides spending time surrounded by nature in parks and golf courses, you can also enjoy other cultural forms of entertainment, such as museums, the symphony, a ballet company, several theaters, a performing arts center and a lot of local breweries.
