10 Sunny Places to Retire To

  • Asheville, North Carolina – Asheville remains a serene and beautiful town in the Blue Ridge Mountains, even though it has been through major changes ever since it became a summer retreat for wealthy businessmen, such as Rockefeller or Vanderbilt. Asheville was declared the sixth-best place in the U.S. for business and careers by “Forbes Magazine”. Even so, people like to come here for cultural offerings.
  • Grand Junction, Colorado – Grand Junction has so much to offer that you don’t know where to start. It has inspiring landscapes, a charming downtown, lots of options on outdoor adventures, and it’s a golfing paradise.
  • Sarasota, Florida – If your dream was to retire on one of the best beaches in the U.S., Sarasota is the right choice for you. And although Sarasota was hit pretty hard a few years ago by the housing crash and it might be still recovering, you may be able to pick up a house at a great discount.
  • San Diego, California – San Diego County has lots of beaches, including Coronado Beach, which was recently declared one of the best in the country. The city has more than 100 neighborhoods, from ultra-exclusive beachside communities like La Jolla (which is famous for its art galleries) and Coronado. Due to the fact that there are so many recreation options, its citizens have low rates of diabetes, hypertension and cancer. Healthy and sunny!
