Do You Want to Retire Early? Then These 10 Jobs Are the Way to Go!

January 14, 2021 · Retirement Life

Financial Managers

With an average salary of $143,530, it’s no wonder that financial managers are able to retire so easily. It is estimated that their 401(k) savings sit at around $901,562, too, building up towards a comfortable retirement compared to other professions.

However, there seems to be some sort of disconnect since you’d expect that with wages that high more financial managers would believe they would retire early. But, in fact, 43.8% of people working this job believe they will work past the age of 65. 69% actually plan on working past the age of 62 and that could be because, on average, financial managers will have less than $1 million saved by the time they should retire.

Dentists

With the second-highest average salary of all the jobs included in the study, bringing in around $180,010 on an annual basis, it’s no wonder that dentists are able to retire early. However, despite that, 75% of workers say they believe they will keep working even after they turn 65.

That’s even despite the fact that by the time they turn 62, the average dentist in the U.S. has managed to save an estimated $1million for their retirement. Their 401(k) savings are to thank for that, as dentists manage to save an estimated $1.13 million thanks to their plans.
