Don’t Rule Out Renting

Who says you absolutely have to own a house once you retire? That may have been how things were done in the past but that doesn’t mean you have to stick to old ideals to be happy and financially secure.

In fact, you may be risking your finances if you’re planning on becoming a homeowner once again. Taking on a huge debt could be extremely risky, especially for retirees on a fixed income.
Look for a place to rent, instead. You’ll have much more access to capital and won’t have to worry about additional costs of the upkeep of a big home!
