Sarasota, Florida

An hour south of Tampa, you’ll find Sarasota. It’s a popular tourist and retirement destination because everyone wants to sink into the white, powdery sand beaches like those on Siesta Key. Approximately 26.5% of the population that has visited Sarasota County is aged 65 and older, as a recent study conducted by GoBankingRates has found.

Sarasota is a place well-known for its beautiful beaches, and ballet, orchestra, opera, and a multitude of theater choices. It’s a beautiful place to live, work, raise a family, and seniors here are extremely appreciated in the community. Because there are so many things you can do here, everyone understands why it’s such a hot spot for retirees.
