10 Best Spots in the U.S. to Spend Your Retirement Years

March 18, 2020 · Retirement Life

Honolulu

Honolulu is the sixth most expensive city in the U.S. and North America and the 19th most expensive in the world. However, retirees who are willing to pay the hefty prices, get exactly what they paid for, which, in this case, is retirement in paradise.

The year-round pleasant weather and relaxed vibe make Honolulu one of the most desired retirement destinations. Note that the cost of living and housing are higher than in many other retirement hot spots, and frequent trips back to the mainland might affect your budget.

“However, Honolulu historically offers a great rate of home value appreciation, and there are many investment opportunities. If you are able to afford to retire here, you can’t beat the sunny weather and year-round beach and hiking,” said Redfin agent Ali Ban.
