Sadly, we can’t escape the reality that criminals often target seniors in order to take advantage of them. Staying vigilant and distancing yourself from shady individuals would help, but more than that, you should relocate to a city with a lower crime rate.

Luckily, this is yet another area you could easily research online. Look up your preferred city’s standards of safety and their local law enforcement. You might be surprised by what you might find.

But keep in mind that even the ‘cleanest’ places aren’t safe heavens from criminals, so you should also look into various neighborhoods if you’re able. Some might be better off than others.
