American workers have been seriously hit by the coronavirus pandemic. Large numbers of people lost their jobs and were left without any source of income in the sectors most severely affected by the lockdown, such as leisure, retail, and hospitality. “The length of this disruption is the big unknown,” said certified planner Kelly Crane. “The virus could impact us for a few more weeks or, for some industries, for many months.  The fortunate ones were able to keep their job or work from home. If you are one of them, you might want to ask for more hours, if possible.

If your employer has not taken a serious hit like others, chances are his business is still going well and might even need more manpower. This is your chance to make some extra money which will help you leave your 401k plan untouched.
