Second career

It’s not improbable that you’ll have to work during your retirement. If you’ve had a hard time saving up money, nobody’s stopping you from picking up a few hours here and there. Of course, this doesn’t mean you have to aim for more full-time jobs. Part-time, seasonal, and consulting work might be a perfect match for you during your golden years.

You can even try out a new career path. The enjoyment of taking on new challenges in a different field could be just what you need if you feel like your retirement is a little bit bland and boring. Plus, you can even do this if you already have enough money saved. That means that you won’t have to be worried about low-paying, part-time jobs during your search. Just pick something you’ve always wanted to do but never had an opportunity!
