For people wishing to retire to the mountains, in a small, cozy cottage by the forest, Bozeman represents the perfect opportunity. Located in the southern part of Montana, between the Gallatin Valley and Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks, Bozeman provides plenty of opportunities to get in touch with nature while exploring its marvels.

Due to its geographical position, it is the perfect place for people who love hiking, skiing, mountain biking, hunting or fishing.

However, if you’re thinking of choosing Bozeman as your retirement go-to place and spend your retirement years in total isolation, think again. You will not be able to evade everyone, given that Montana State University’s Bozeman campus is home to almost 17,000 students.

You might not like the noisy groups of exuberant students but just think of all the benefits that come with a college town.
