Are You a Baby Boomer? Here’s How You Can Catch up on Retirement Savings

May 18, 2021 · Retirement Life

Go Public About Your Savings Goal

It’s true that not a lot of people feel comfortable talking about finances. Either because of their fear of judgement or because they want the world to perceive in a certain way, there simply aren’t many households that would be open and honest about their saving goals.

But being doing so could light a fire under you, which will only push you closer to your goals. You don’t have to tell complete strangers or people you don’t like, but you could open up to your closest friends and family.

That way, you’ll become way more accountable for the things you spend unnecessary money on. Plus, if they’re also interested in saving up some cash, then making it into a fun little competition could give you both the push you need.

So, if you’re ever down about your saving habits, turn them into a game with your closest friends, instead- winner gets a free dinner at their favorite restaurant!
