Find Romance in the Little Things

Over the years, we have many opportunities to support our romantic partners or be inconsiderate to them. Most of the older adults interviewed by Pillemer came up with this wise advice: “If I learned one thing about how to keep the spark alive over many decades, there’s a point that the elders make that aligns very closely with research. It is an emphasis on thinking small — the small, minute-to-minute, day-to-day interactions that make up a relationship.”

Therefore, encourage, inspire and take solace in even the most insignificant aspect of your relationship like saying good morning or holding hands on the street.
