The program could just be brushed aside

Despite his past plans and strategies, President Trump has been unusually quiet and reserved lately. This has prompted many analysts to think that, if re-elected, he could just let the program follow its course and do nothing to prevent the further escalation of the program’s financial problems. This means future Social Security might receive significantly lower benefits if the program completely exhausts its almost $3 trillion in asset reserves by 2034.
