6. Having constant long-term expenses

If you are in a certain medical condition that requires a longer period of cure, your safe retirement may be threatened. Long-term care costs can be overwhelming and have become even higher. A 2016 article by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service discovered that it is likely for an adult out of seven to suffer from a long-term disability one day.

Not many Americans have long-term care insurance, however.
