Storing stuff you really don’t need

Since we’re on the subject of useless things, instead of cashing in on some of the surprisingly valuable ones (see the previous page), most people pay extra money to store them away.

According to developmental psychologists, most people rent storage units for items they don’t want to throw away but almost never get to use again. Storing unnecessary items may cost you $60 to $200 a month. Is it really worth it?
