11 Reasons Why Baby Boomers Aren’t Prepared To Retire

They are too optimistic about jobs

How can we put it nicely…if you lack retirement knowledge, that’s fine, maybe it won’t come back to haunt you. But the job market will. This applies to baby boomers as well.

The American Association of Retired Persons explains how nearly one-third of Americans that are 50 or older, had to face career setbacks, job loss, and stagnant wages, which only destroyed their plans for retirement savings.

More tragically than that is how 21 % of 50+ consumers report that these career setbacks caused them to reach their retirement savings so they can make their ends meet. Recovering from these situations is not so easy and has put many of those 50+ consumers behind their necessary pace for financial freedom.
