Conclusions

As a sad truth that unfolds, Leading American businesses aren’t doing anything to bringing back pensions, or boosting wages, or paying higher taxes to strengthen and expand Social Security or other helpful social services.

If existing trends aren’t about to change, baby boomers will be the last to experience some sort of satisfactory retirement. And this will only be another sign that the system is failing. In an ideal scenario, boomers will have to find a way to help younger generations reach the goal of a satisfying retirement alive and gather forces to fight for structural changes, in order to live better.
