We Found The Best 20 Neighborhoods for Retirees

April 24, 2019 · Retirement Life

17. Deer Valley — Phoenix

Deer Valley, with its livability score of 76, is yet another place where you can count on buying a house for cheaper than the rest of Phoenix. More specifically, you’ll be paying an average of $259,900, $20,000 than anywhere else.

What’s there to like about Deer Valley? What’s there not to like? According to Area Vibes, this neighborhood also got perfect scores in terms of amenities and weather. But watch out as summers can be problematic, the temperature reaching 90 degrees on average.

You can also count on various community events and meetings in the local community center and if you’re in for a workout why not visit Arizona’s largest theme park, Wet’n’Wild Phoenix? If you’re a fan of horse racing, why not visit Turf Paradise?

All in all, seniors over the age of 65 make up 11.1% of the population.
