Don’t take discounts as a sign of getting old, and don’t let your pride dictate your finances. You should embrace any deal that comes your way, from restaurants all the way to airlines. These could kick in from when you either turn 55 or 60, depending on the business.

Local libraries or museums also have tons of activities for seniors. Instead of planning out extensive and expensive outings, see what they have in store first.
