12 Best States to Retire in 2021

February 19, 2021 · Personal finance

Arizona

Arizona is a very popular retirement destination, especially for future retirees who love spending time outdoors. Similar to Florida, there’s a higher percentage of retirees in Arizona during winter months, with around 300,000 retired snowbirds temporarily taking up residence in the Grand Canyon State, due to the warm and comfortable climate.

Delaware offers affordable housing options and plenty of active senior communities to choose from.

Some of the biggest benefits of retiring in Arizona include:

  • No tax on social security income
  • No gift tax, estate tax, or inheritance tax
  • High quality of healthcare and wellness facilities
  • Easy access to the Grand Canyon and to various caves, national parks, festivals and other outdoor activities
  • World-renowned golf courses for both professional and novice golfers.
