After working hard for most of your life, it’s natural to feel entitled to great Social Security benefits. If you’ve done everything by the book during your working years there’s no reason you should expect any cuts, right?

Sadly, that’s not always the case, and thousands of senior Americans are forced to deal with less in Social Security benefits than they initially expected. In some cases, your own mistakes could have lead to these circumstances. Other times, poor government planning is at fault.
