Retirement Savings Mistakes Financial Advisors See Too Often

6. Failing to save enough

There are generally two options when it comes to saving: earn more money or spend less.

Working more doesn’t necessarily imply longer ours at a single job, especially if you can’t rely on your current workplace to accommodate this. A few freelancing jobs here and there or part-time work can improve your finances significantly in the long run.

Then again, if you don’t have the time to do this, consider spending less. Cutting costs doesn’t have to come with huge leaps. You can take it one day at a time and see what you’re comfortable with.

Ashley Coake, founder of Cultivate Financial Planning also touches on the huge impact saving has if you go about it mindfully.
